Title: Dunny Door
Post by: Clance on October 01, 2009, 01:45:36 PM
Hi Guys n Gals,
I'm in a pickle trying to work out how to make a Dunny/Bathroom door for the Mover!!
I'm trying to make a door that swings out into the main area of the camper not one that swings in! That would be to easy!! The probs I have is how to make it water tight, how to make a frame or mounting points!!
Has anyone on here had the same quandry?
If any one can give me some ideas it would be great as this is the last part of the reno to be done and I'm busting for !!!! with the door closed!! ;D ???

hey clance its pretty easy really, if you got a motorhome or caravan dealer near you check them out, will give you a better insight rather than trying to explain it to you, alloy profile is the way to go, nice and lite and you can cut it and mitre it yourself to suite cheers stevo

If its the sealing of the sides and bottom of the door, to stop water getting into the cabin, then have a look at some of the shower/bath screens.

For the sides flexible flaps can be attached on the inside that cover the gap stoping water splashing through it, and on the bottom the return is level with the outside of the door, with another flexible flap on the inside bottom, as the door opens or closes the flap bends over the return, and when the door is closed sheilds the return.
