we still haven't seen a beddy done on one , that would be hard.

Interesting
Ben it looks like one of the ends, the one with the master cylinder attached alse has a brake drum attached, so I guess that he spins it then uses trhe braking system to lock it in whatever position, if you look at the booster pic you can see how he locks the pedal down.
Craig - why do you think it would be hard, it would need to be scaled up for the height and weight, but otherwise the principal is the same

I think counterbalancing the weight would be the problem with a beddy the lower hook up points eg- the bumper brkts would be far out of line to the center of gravity ... but yea it would make working on 1 much better

If one of you guys took the time to build one , I'm sure you could rent it out to people who are about to undertake a rebuild.
Who knows I might be your first customer? LOL ;D

build it to hook up at those points but then offset the brackets so its spining on the ballance points
if u look the holden ute on is set up that way.
or just make your own hook up points, clean them off after its finished
i would never get under a vehicle on 1 just the same!

yeh emailed the bloke and he said he has a spring pin that clips in place like you got your foot on the brake pedal:) nice idea huh!
but i wouldnt trust that either, i think id want a pin on the actual wheel that spins around rather than the braking system:.
nah i dont think it would be that hard craig..
if i ever get a big shed this will be one of the first things ill build:)
