Hi Folks
I have finally purchased my first Beddy. Have been keeping an eye on this site for awhile now and very impressed with the attitude of all users. There is obviously alot of Beddy knowledge within these pages and all so willing to share. A credit to all.
Picked up the Beddy in Tammin WA, was on Ebay.
What a trip, about 2 hours there, jump in and head home. Run out of fuel 2 kms from the nearest fuel station. Had to buy a jerrycan ($37) as well as fuel ($10). Then back up the road, fuel her up then back to the servo for another $40 fuel. Alright home, here we come.
10kms from home, get a flat front tyre. No worries, have a spare and a jack in the back. Jack's buggered, call the missus to bring the trolley jack. Get the wheel off go and grab the spare and find the spare is a ford rim to suit rear wheels, the front is obviously a bedford rim.
Spend the next 3 hours trying to remove a tyre I had at home and fit to the bedford rim. got it on to find it wouldn't seal. Put a tube in, tube was stuffed.
Anyway, finally got her home on a half flat tyre. 10 1/2 hours all up.
Hopefully the rest of my travelling will be just as eventful !
Needs a lot of work but should be fun.
At the moment she's Ugly Beddy !!

hey greg nice one bro!! i can relate to your trip lol. done that a fair few times..
one that stands out is i lost all my wheel nuts except 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what happened was for some reason someone had commadore nuts on it. they kept coming undone! i kept on tigtening them up ever 5 mins
i was driving through a power station. supplys 80% of melbournes power. the security dudes got real nervous and rang the cops. they thought i was casing the joint. sent the cops out who were up really tight ofcourse.
i gave them a really blank sily look like what are you guys on??
they thought i was a terrorist????
anyway dad drove the van home and it sounded like a helicopter by the time it got home. with onlt 1 wheel nut. snapped studs it was all going on!!
anyway welcome to the site bro and keep the beddy stories up.

ahhh beddie stories, thats not bad, last van I bought was only 20 minutes from my place but took I think from memory nearly 3 hours to get it home, same probs really except found out later that the lpg/petrol switch was only half on and was starvingthe motor of petrol .... oh and the overheating of course (how can the radiator boil after 10 minutes driving ... oh joy, the challenges of owning a beddie, welcome aboard bro
