Hi Guys I have sliding style rear windows in my 76' SWB that I will be removing shortly for my rebuild.
( If anyone wants them let me know and there yours for the price of postage. ) I want to put in full panel size windows but I noticed on the inside they have like a curved panel supports coming from the rear of the van that joins onto the side of the van. It will be in the way of the full sized windows so do you guys just normally cut them out or what is the go. They look original and I have seen plenty of SWB's with full panel windows so do you just cut them out? Also looking for a section of roof about 2 feet square to fill in a home made sunroof job done by previous owner can anyone help with that?
Cheers Wayne

When I put full size american style custom window frames in the side of my beddy I cut the supports where the windows went through and welded them to the sides of the new window frames. The reason they are there is to stop your panels from flexing and bending and also to stop them from vibrating when you drive. I will post the build photos of how I did my custom windows on my gallery page if you like may start tonight and will add more tomorrow night if no vanners turn up for a friday night session here. Hope this is of use to you
Cheers Jeff
