Hi Guys,
Finally got a Van. After looking for a CFS for a ridiculous amount of time i finally
came across one in alright condition. Hooray!!! ;D
So now its just a matter of cleaning it up and making it pretty to look at.
Panels are all pretty straight but the paint work is a lil stuffed.
Has a Holden red engine, 3 speed manual and, unfortunately, a loading diff.
Looking to change the diff centre to a highway asap so if someone is looking
at getting rid of one reasonable price I'm fair interested.
Went and got a roadworthy check done list of about a dozen items i need to
fix before i can get a roadworthy.
Will probably have a heap of questions along my rebuild journey, but will
hopefully all work out.
Cheers guys check out the pics once i figure out how to drive this. :P

welcome aboard Chum 007, lots of good info from lots of good blokes on this site, as an added bonus you scored a windowless CF which is a great start, good luck with the rebuild, cheers Eddy ;D

Hi Guys,
Just an update.
Worked my ass off and got suspension bushes and shockers changed over for roadworthy.
Huge dramas with welded in bolts. (see pics)
Got roadworthy last week, changed over name and re-registered it ;D
Then the van broke down on my way back to the factory :( engine started knocking and temp sky rocketed quickly.
Luckily not a big deal because i have a holden black engine and 4 speed auto to put in which i got off ebay
for $300. ;D
So things are back on track again. Wiring is awful, so gonna be redoing the whole lot.
Will keep posting as things progress.
C ya!

Chum-007 that beddy looks great! Love the bed setup great for crashing in, and all the strorage underneath.
Sorry to hear about your motor mate thats not good. Sounds like it overheated so make sure the cooling system is up to scratch. Bedfords need a good cooling system.

Welcome Chum-007
Good to see you getting the beddy up and running.
Feel free to post more pics and ask stupid questions - because those we can answer.

Mate, the FIRST thing you do with a Bedford is rip that bloody stupid radiator out and replace it with a Commodore 3 core cross flow (even 2 core will do) which just fits in at 670mm wide ($50 from wreckers). You'll have to make brackets for it and move the wiring loom up.
Even cut out a section of the front cross beam plate that sits in front of the radiator. This plate blocks over 1/3 of the air getting through and absorbs the heat from the radiator and doesn't cool down.
