hello all, especially shane,
is there an easy way to cut and paste into a thread from macrosoft word or some thing similar without photobucket ?
-
What are you trying to Cut & paste ?
If it's text then its as simple as CTRL C & CTRL V
images are a differnt thing.

images....nice 'n' big for all to see
-
You're best off saving the pictures out of the document and then attaching them to a post. You're welcome to send the docs to me if you need some help.
-
cheers shane, as I am processing images from RAW files, lately I've been resizing at 96 dpi at a 6x4in jpeg format, It may still be too big for 100% viewing, I think the site resizes automatically, but I'm trying post multiple images......err, I hope this makes sense.
-
You could stick them in a gallery

Like Warren said, you could put them in the gallery which will resize them for you no matter how big they are.
What program are you using to resize your images?
-
You could just use (Paint) under Accessories every system has this. open- chosse Image then stretch and skew, then Horizontal and vertical and cut by 50% once or twice. ;)
-
try photobucket.com it resizes the image, all you have to do is copy and paste the img tagged link, easy as
-
Doc Damage did a tutorial on this once upon a time but I'll be buggered if I can find it.
-
My partner just started doing a tutorial on resizing images with Irfanview. Its a really good program and its free ;)

thanks guy's for the info, I'm using photoshop to resize images, but perhaps I haven't been very clear, what I want to do is, develop a thread to post here, so I was hoping to combine image and text, get it all sorted and then post it in one hit, but maybe the overall file size restriction may not make this possible anyway.....

Hi mate, I understand what you are wanting to do.
You are best off uploading all your images to your gallery and then link them into your post with the image tags.
If you need some help mate, send me a pm with your number when you're ready and I'll talk you through it.
-
...you're onto it shane, others have said that as well, but some times my brain will not assimilate computer information...
I'll try again.......
thank you
-
....how 'bout this then(http://)
-
Nup I cant see it
Upload it into your gallery, then right click on the image and look at "Address (URL)" cut and paste that into the image tags

The first one was the thumb nail picture in my index, the second one is when the image is in full screen mode
try quoting one of the posts and then you will see the structure of the text.
