hey folks ive got a bloke making some stuff for my door trims..

please give honest opinion on what can be improved..

and what looks good also

an arm rest and speaker built in this one., we have already decided not practicle thou cause the speaker will shoot sraight at your seat so thats gunna change..

Hey looks good Ben....Just one thought, what if you put a indent in the top of the arm rest so it could work like a finger groove for closing the door? But i like it ;D ;D ;D cheers...johnno

oh i forgot to say ill be doing these in fibreglass.. yeh i think thats a top idea johnno.. thanks

im not sure it will go with the lines of the door trim. ive expressed this concern to the bloke..

put a subbie in each door and get one side of your hips massaged by the bass. But seriously what would the sound quality be like? In the 80s I placed speakers low down near the footwells in the front doors so the speakers gave off a sort of bass effect  (wasn't too bad then but pretty shite compared to todays car stereos),  no need to do that now with the subbies and amps being available.

Dunno bro what effect are you after? just a flashy door panel or better sound? personally I reckon a map pocket and a smaller speaker closer to the front of the door would be more practicable, good idea though, also why not have a flat bit where you can mount switches for electric mirrors or windows controls and you definately need a handle that you slam the door shut with!  ;D

check out some of the later model yank vans from the factory, they actually pay designers to create stuff that works, I would be guided by their expertise in placement of door features
